We invite you to visit our Web site,
www.clinicaldecision.umn.edu to explore a new, interactive
resource for speech language pathologists who serve
linguistically diverse school aged learners. The project goal
is to deliver free, on-demand professional information for SLPs
during the 2006-07 school year, including:
-
a self-study curriculum of information
essential to clinical assessments and intervention with
linguistically diverse learners
-
links to other related resources
-
“Ask a Colleague” link to a mentored web –based
threaded discussion forum (launch
date:
October 23, 2006)
-
four online lectures in advanced topics (e.g.,
hearing loss, cleft palate, autism, fluency), as they relate
to linguistically diverse learners
(in development)
We hope you will visit our site and share this
resource with your colleagues. If you have current ASHA CCCs
and a minimum of three years of experience working with
linguistically diverse populations, we invite you to consider
serving as a volunteer Guest mentor for our “Ask a Colleague”
discussion forum (see attached invitation for details). We
welcome your comments and suggestions; please email us at
cdmldl@umn.edu.
Thank you.
