Session Changes / Cancellations

Subject to change and/or cancellation. 

Please be aware that there may be schedule changes, speaker changes, sessions canceled or added between the time the registration brochure is printed and the actual conference, due to circumstances beyond our control.  NJSHA reserves the right to cancel or substitute any program without prior notification. If you have registered for a session for which there is change you will be notified by email and postal mail.

An Approach to Aural Rehabilitation for Adults with Acquired Hearing Loss
Geoff Plant, OAM, Hearing Rehabilitation Foundation, Somerville, MA 

This presentation will present an overview of an approach to Speech Communication Training for adults with an acquired hearing loss. Although many of the materials to be discussed were originally designed for use with adults with cochlear implants, they have been successfully used with adult and teenagers with hearing aids. The areas to be covered in the presentation will include: testing to evaluate training needs; analytic approaches to speech communication training; synthetic approaches to speech communication training; and speech tracking and related modifications. Case studies will be used to show how the training approaches are used with individual clients. INTERMEDIATE, .3 CEUS, IIHIS, AAA
